Textiles Inspiration: Cath Kidston

We had our little girl Mabli Lola (yey!) a few weeks ago and after 9 months of being utterly convinced she was a boy (doh) I have had to scrap all the boyish ideas we had for her nursery and start again… I love a bit of floral these days, but as a print student ‘years’ ago I absolutely hated doing them, our tutors told us to become a successful print designer you had to get a handle on small florals as these are the markets best sellers. Cath Kidston is the best at florals, ‘ditsies‘ and ‘converstaional‘ prints, I figured why even bother when she does them so well?

Endemico Resguardo Silvestre

I’m adding another vacation spot to the list, folks. And by the looks of it, you probably should do the same.

Having only recently opened, the Endemico Resguardo Silvestre is already an award winning hotel located on the beautiful Baja peninsula in Mexico. Aimed at providing “deluxe camping”, this hotel consists of twenty 215 square foot EcoLofts. You’ll notice by the photos that each EcoLoft has a sleek and minimal design that elevates above the land in order to eliminate contact with the soil and thus helping preserve the eco-system in which the hotel resides.

Present and Correct

My very clever husband bought me this card some time ago, because I am British and I LOVE tea. I can’t do anything until at least one cup has passed my lips (work better on this Welsh tea my mam sends me every couple of months…). I really liked it and traced back to the designers and then found their website and it was LOVE. Present and Correct got my memory banks surging for my school days and the blissful organisation of my desk and those terribly boring letters I used to write just because I enjoyed using wacky envelopes and stickers.

Smile Squared

I love finding out about companies that are what you may call “double-whammies” in the world of sustainable products: a company that creates environmentally sustainable products while also remaining devoted to sustaining the well-being of mankind.

Sketch Up iPhone Case

My iPhone has gone without a case for nearly 6 months. First let’s note the complete miracle it is that I haven’t shattered it or had to replace the screen. Noted? Okay. The reason why I have yet to buy a case is that in the past, I’ve grown tired of my cases only a week or two after purchase. Well with the “Sketch Up” iPhone case, Trexta has made sure my iPhone will stay protected and I’ll never get bored.
