While the leaves are changing here in North America, warmer weather is just getting underway down South. Today, we are featuring three fabulous vacation destinations in the Southern Hemisphere. Any of these locations would be an excellent escape in the upcoming winter months. On top of being in amazing parts of the world, the hotels below are all environmentally friendly. Yes, you’re going to want to get on this.

Daintree EcoLodge & Spa, Australia: The awards say it all. To name a few, Daintree EcoLodge has been named the “World’s Leading Eco Lodge” in 2009 as well as the “Best Luxury Eco Tourism in the World”. Located in Queensland, Australia, the hotel consists of 15 “Bayans”, or houses, tucked within the oldest living rainforest in the world. Also on the property is a wellness spa, art gallery, a swimming pool, and more.

Kenoa Resort, Brazil: My body temperature goes up just looking at the pictures of the Kenoa Resort in Barra de Sao Miguel, Brazil. Architect Osvaldo Tenorio designed the hotel and aimed to exhibit the colors of the surrounding oceans and beaches throughout the resort. The resort includes a pool, driving range, a fitness center, and more. But let’s be honest. What more could you need besides a beachside bedroom?

Florblanca, Costa Rica: Looking for a surf spot to get in on some winter swells? Look no further than Florblanca in Costa Rica. The hotel itself is located on one of the most breathtaking beaches Costa Rica has to offer. Rooms and villas are beautifully nestled into the Costa Rican jungle so you can enjoy tropical surroundings with luxurious amenities at your fingertips. A spa is on the property along with sports and fitness activities. I’m ready to book my ticket.
