With & Wessel: Norwegian style woolen layers

It’s that time of year again: the period when women swap their sandals and shorts for sweaters and boots. While I don’t look forward to weather that is too much colder, Fall is my favorite time to dress as I get to incorporate rich colors, various textures, and layer up. Which is why With & Wessel is a perfect option for pumping up your fall and winter wardrobe.






With & Wessel comes to you from husband and wife team Cathrine Wessel and Stian Tolnaes. The duo was inspired by the Norwegian style of wearing layers of wool. Not only is this style extremely fashionable and versatile, but it is also eco-friendly as wool is a renewable, natural, and biodegradable fibre.





“With & Wessel has a high standard and motivation towards eco-friendly production,” says the With & Wessel website regarding their wool processing. “The goal is to reach the lowest overall environmental impact as possible.”





Additionally, did you know wool is better able to adapt to different temperatures than synthetic fibers or cotton? “Wool quickly absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture fro the body, keeping the body warm in the winter, and cool in the summer,” says the website. “It is odor-absorbent and anti-bacterial.”
